{ Cold Weather and Comfort }

I lost my precious 14 year old son in October of 2017 to suicide. I desperately need to continue nurturing my family and myself, so I have had to come up with ways to keep my mind and my hands occupied. The upcoming cold season of Fall, 2018 and my longing for comfort food inspired me to cook my way through all of our favorite soup recipes and to hopefully find new ones in the process. So far, my dinner repertoire consists mainly of one dish meals such as spaghetti. Or Chili, which always elicits the question of why there's no corn bread to go with it. My goal is to not only begin to make more than one dish for dinner, but to add some new favorites along the way, all while trying to find some sort of sanity in this next year of my life.

I will definitely not post every day since we will be eating leftovers on some days and others, when I'm mentally or physically unable to cook at all, we'll probably just go to a restaurant. However, my goal is to make soup the main dish in all of our dinners until the weather turns warm again, I run out of recipes, or my family begs me to stop.
